Moonacre - We are in a freelance mode! Have at it!
Midnight stood on the shores of Silica Beach, soaking up the moonlight as her fur shook in the strong winds. The tide seemed to tug and shove at her soul. She looked down into her expression in the black water, memories rolled in like the waves on the beach. There was a faint whistle in the trees, a tune she had known for a long time. A tear slid down her fur as she recalled things and felt regretful for leaving her parents, but she needed to do what she must. Light shone on her amulet, a present from her father. It's green color reflected around her, and not much later, she saw the moon dim and the coast begin to radiate with a brilliant display of color. She smiled as the wind died down and the warmth of the sun wrapped around her, as if she was back at her parents shop huddled in her favorite blanket, and the spring air flowed in and out of her as she stood on the beach.

Lark had ventured out to silica beach thinking she would be alone with her thoughts, but the female slowed her pace she felt another presence in the area as she strode down the winding path from the inn. She had visited the inn to see if there were any newcomers. She had heard that a new female had gone to silica lake and she wanted to meet her. The dark female slowed her pace when she spotted the lass at the waters edge. She lightly cleared her throat before speaking, one paw raised, tail low and head low to seem friendly. "Hello." She greeted. "You must be the new girl I've heard so much about." She smiled lightly and sat down. "My name is Lark Easton, but you can call me lark." She nodded to the new wolf. "And you?"
Not noticing Lark until she had asked her her name, Midnight was caught off guard. "Midnight..." she mumbled shyly. "Sorry about that, I was just thinking. The name's Midnight.." she said anxiously as she racked her memory of the previous conversation for the name of the wolf, "...Lark?". Midnight looked at Lark and looked for approval. Midnight sensed that she had gotten it right. "My parents were merchants in the city, and- and I had to leave them. I really felt I should go out on my own sometime". "My dad and I used to go on hunting trips when I was a pup, but that's about all the exposure I had". "My parents had to keep one eye on me in the hectic shop, and I was quite a rowdy pup, so it was just easier for them to keep me by the shop". "I have no idea what to do now", "and I know I can't go back. Do I get a job? Do I become a merchant? Should I adventure?". Midnight shook her head in dismay. "I'm sorry about that, I really just needed to get it off my chest". Midnight glance at the green gem hanging from her neck, and she was filled with regret once again. "So how have you been doing... Lark? And do you have any advice for me"?

Lark kept herself quiet as the young she wolf spoke to her. She noticed a green gem hanging around the girls neck and even saw that she had been admiring it herself as though it were dear to her. Lark sighed quietly as the she wolf spoke of her family rooting as merchants. Lark wagged her tail softly as such a topic of sales and shopping did interest her a lot. The female had found merchant shops to sometimes be educational and even exquisite. Lark nodded in sympathy to the female when she finished speaking. The poor thing had to make the ultimate sacrifice to live on her own, become something only she could discover. Lark tilted her head slightly and gave midnight a gentle smile. "You can be whatever you choose," she said. "There are many possibilities and you are young so you have time to explore." She stood and wagged her tail, nodding to the gem around midnights neck. "You have your parents close by because you wear something they have you, a treasure. I like you. Perhaps all you need right now is a friend." She bowed in play. "I can show you the village. We can visit the inn and get you settled until you know what you want to do." She jumped for joy inside. "Seagris would love to meet you! What do you say?" Lark was excited to help newcomers. She liked doing that. In most cases though, she could appear overbearing, but lark felt some sort of connection with modnight, and she wanted the female to feel at home and not lonely. She even considered sharing her living space with her, but lark wasn't sure yet. The female stood beaming at midnight, tail wagging, feeling hopeful.

The dark female jumped for joy at the young females response. "Alright! Let's start at the Inn, make sure you have a place to stay." She began to walk away, knowing the female would surely follow.

Midnight followed Lark patiently, nervous about the inn. She had many thoughts about her new life. She considered trying to contact her parents when she got back to the inn, but decided against it.
